Day 1: Medan Arrival

Halo! Welcome to Medan, the heart of wonderful Sumatra. Upon arrival at the airport, welcomed by your local guide and then transfer to your hotel in the city to check-in. After that, the rest of the day is yours. Spend your time to relax in the hotel.

Day 2: Medan – Lake Toba

Wake up in the sound of bird-singing this morning and have breakfast before your guide picks you up to Lake Toba, the mesmerizing natural lake in Sumatra. Consisting of an island which is almost the size of Singapore, Lake Toba is a perfect place to sit back, relax and absorb the pristine beauty as well as explore the unique culture.

Take a scenic drive along the endless palm tree, rubber ad cacao plantations. You will also pass through the historic city of Pematang Siantar. As you reach the border of Lake Toba, embark on a ferry to cross the lake to the island of Samosir. Take your time to enjoy the view.

Day 3: Samosir – Tomok, Ambarita & Simanindo Tour

A full day to discover the charming village on Lake Toba. You will visit the typical Toba Batak villages. Visit the king’s tomb in Tomok to learn more about the history lesson. Next up we move to Ambarita village where you have an opportunity to see the Batak village and the famous stone chair as well as the execution place of King Sialagan. Enjoy traditional dances before returning to the hotel.

Day 4: Samosir – Prapat – Brastagi

The morning of day 4 leads you along the edge of the lake to Karo highlands. En route, stop for a visit at the tribal king’s house of the Simalungun Batak in Pematung Purba. Here you can witness the authentic Batak house and learn interesting facts about the Purba dynasty. Next up, visit the Sipiso Piso falls and pineapple, ginger and clove plantations.

This afternoon, check-in at the cool mountain resort of Berastagi and enjoy the breathtaking view overlooking the spectacular mountains.

Day 5: Brastagi – Medan
